Terms
Terms of Service.
Last updated: April 25, 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating a Grantboard account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. The service
Grantboard is a grant lifecycle management platform. We provide tools for application intake, review, approval, milestone tracking, payment management, grantee communication, and reporting. Specific features available to your account depend on your plan.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at security@grantboard.co if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the service for unlawful purposes; (b) interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the service; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, workspaces, or backend systems; (d) use the service to facilitate money laundering, sanctions evasion, or any other illegal financial activity; (e) upload content you do not have the right to share; (f) reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or copy the service except as expressly permitted; (g) use the service to send spam, phishing, or otherwise deceptive communications.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you upload (grant applications, agreements, attached documents, comments). You grant Grantboard a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content as necessary to provide the service to you and your workspace.
6. Workspace data
When you participate in a workspace as a member or grantee, the workspace operator (the foundation, DAO, or other organization) is the controller of the workspace data; Grantboard is the processor. The workspace operator's own privacy policies and data practices apply to that data in addition to ours.
7. Plans, fees, and changes
Paid plans are billed via Stripe on a recurring basis. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change plan features and pricing with reasonable advance notice; renewal at the new price is conditional on your continued use after the change takes effect.
8. Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Privacy. By default, deletion is scheduled with a 30-day grace window during which you can restore the account; the "Permanently delete now" option in the same dialog skips the grace window. Deletion removes your account, profile, and workspace memberships. Content you authored inside a workspace remains in that workspace, attributed to a deleted user. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Grantboard is a workflow tool, not legal, financial, or tax advice; consult appropriate professionals for decisions that require it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the fees you paid to Grantboard in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Grantboard's operating entity is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email to active account holders, and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent change took effect.
